A fire incident has occurred at the Hulhumalé Water Theme Park.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) stated today that information regarding a fire breaking out in some vegetation within the water park site under construction in Hulhumalé Phase One was received at 06:34 AM.

Firefighters from the MNDF Male' Area Command, stationed at the Hulhumalé Fire Station, successfully extinguished the blaze by 07:39 AM.

MNDF further confirmed that no injuries were reported in connection with this incident.
