Police have launched an investigation into the theft of MVR 4 million from an apartment on Majeedhee Magu, with four suspects arrested and another in custody.

According to police, the robbery was reported at approximately 5:49 p.m. on the 16th of last month. Authorities confirmed that MVR 4,000,000 was stolen, of which MVR 50,000 has since been recovered.

The suspects have been identified as Mohamed Noor Ahmed (40), Mohamed Afrah (40), Ismail Asif (36), and Ahmed Faris (39). Police said five individuals are suspected in total.

Investigations are now largely complete, with final steps underway to submit the case to the Prosecutor General’s Office for criminal charges.
