An expatriate teacher at a school in GDh. Atoll was attacked and injured in an incident reported late this morning.

Police said the case involved the physical assault of an Indian female teacher, which was reported at around 11:46 a.m. The attack took place on the island of Gaddhoo.

The injured teacher was initially treated at Gaddhoo Health Center before being transferred to Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital for further care.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident in collaboration with relevant agencies.
