The People’s Majlis is set to resume sittings next week following a break during the last days of Ramadan.

The last parliamentary sitting was held on March 8, after which sessions were suspended. Despite the pause, several committee meetings continued to meet deadlines for ongoing legislative work.

The sixth sitting of the first session for the year has been scheduled for next Monday.

Officials have indicated that several bills will be submitted during this session, including legislation on the death penalty and a bill proposing no-confidence votes against parliamentarians and councillors.
