The Ministry of Defense has extended the application deadline for the third round of the Maldives National Service to May 7.

The initial deadline, announced on March 10, was set to expire today. While no official reason was given for the extension, it is believed to be due to the government declaring today and tomorrow as public holidays.

The program is open to youth aged 16 to 28. Applicants under 18 may participate with the consent of a judicial guardian and must be in good health.

Interested individuals can apply via email at [email protected] or submit their applications in person at the Ministry of Defense during official hours on non-holidays.

Initiated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the program aims to develop responsible, physically fit, and mentally and spiritually healthy citizens who are committed to serving the nation.
