President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has called upon every eligible citizen to exercise their fundamental right to vote.
The President made this appeal in a brief interview with the media after casting his ballot today in the ongoing elections, which include the Local Council Election, the Women's Development Committee (WDC) Election, and the Constitutional Referendum regarding the synchronization of Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The President cast his vote at the designated ballot box for the Maafannu South constituency, located at Thaajuddeen School.
Emphasizing the importance of civic participation, the President stated that voting is a legal right granted to every individual and urged everyone to fulfill this responsibility.
"Voting is a fundamental constitutional right. Therefore, I encourage all citizens to participate in today's vote and exercise their legal right," the President said.
Voting will continue today from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
