Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has denied rumours that parking slots are being allocated or sold in Hulhumalé.

In a statement issued today, HDC said the claims are false and expressed concern over the spread of misleading information. The corporation noted that many residents have applied for pocket parking as part of government efforts to find a long-term solution to parking challenges in Hulhumalé.

HDC strongly condemned allegations that parking slots are being issued or sold to select individuals, stating that such claims undermine public trust.

The corporation added that it will file complaints with relevant authorities over the spread of false information and urged the public not to share unverified claims regarding its services.
