The Supreme Court has amended its regulations to allow police officers to testify in court via video conferencing.

Previously, only expert witnesses were permitted to give testimony remotely. Under the new amendment, police officers presented as witnesses by the state can now testify from police stations without appearing in court.

The regulation applies in cases where officers are unable to attend due to official duties or training. It also allows them to provide testimony from islands other than where the case is being heard.
