A human hand has been recovered from the sea following a speedboat accident off the coast of Felidhoo on the night of the 17th, police confirmed.

Authorities said they received reports around 1:15 pm of a speedboat carrying seven people that capsized while traveling at high speed. The vessel, designed for racing and drifting, had been moving at approximately 75 miles per hour when the incident occurred.

According to police, those on board included two women, one British and one Russian, and five Indian men. Five individuals were thrown into the sea, including the Russian woman and four of the Indian nationals. Two Indian men remain missing.

Police are also investigating a related diving incident involving the same group at Fulidhoo Shark Point.

Indian billionaire Gautam Singhania was reportedly driving the speedboat at the time of the incident and is believed to have been intoxicated. He sustained injuries and later traveled to India for medical treatment.

Authorities say investigations and the recovery of the missing individuals are ongoing.
