The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced that a new stock of 10 Rufiyaa banknotes from the "Ran Dhihafaheh" note series has been brought in and will enter circulation on the 1st of next month.

The MMA stated that the new stock of 10 Rufiyaa notes was brought in today due to a shortage in the existing supply.

According to the MMA, the primary objective of releasing these notes is to ensure an adequate supply of cash within the economy for seamless circulation and to replace worn or damaged notes that are withdrawn from the system by the Authority.

The newly printed 10 Rufiyaa banknotes bear the signature of the Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority, Ahmed Munawar. The date on these notes is July 31, 2025 (6 Safar 1447).

Furthermore, this new print of the 10 Rufiyaa note features the Maldivian Rufiyaa symbol on both sides. Specifically, the symbol is placed alongside the face value on the top left of the front of the note and on the top right of the back of the note.

The MMA confirmed that the currently circulating 10 Rufiyaa notes will remain legal tender alongside the newly printed notes.
