A resident of GA. Dhaandhoo has passed away following a suspected case of food poisoning.

In a Facebook post tonight, the President of the Dhaandhoo Island Council, Ahmed Asif, stated that a local woman died while receiving medical attention at the health center due to food poisoning.

Asif noted that the woman had been brought to the health center earlier this evening.

The deceased was a 41-year-old female.
