President Dr Mohamed Muizzu joined the campaign event for candidates of the People's National Congress (PNC) ahead of the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee elections.

The president took part in the party’s “Doordoora” campaign event, which included PNC mayoral candidate Moosa Ali Jaleel, candidates contesting for seats in Malé City, Women’s Development Committee candidates, as well as government ministers, parliamentarians and corporate leaders.

The event began at 1:15 p.m., during which the president visited several homes in the area and met with residents. He also spoke with people he met along the street.

This is the 14th campaign event the president has participated in during the holy month of Ramadan.

PNC is contesting for council seats across all Maldivian islands except Maamigili.
