State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has launched a new customer portal called “Vashani” to improve access to its services.
The portal was launched by STELCO’s Deputy Managing Director, Mohamed Waheed. Ali Azwar. The company said the platform was developed through the efforts of its employees to provide services to the public through a comprehensive digital system.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Azwar said the portal was introduced as part of the Maldives 2.0 project under the policy of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
Through the portal, customers can apply online for STELCO services, check the status of applications, receive updates on their phones, and make payments online.
Azwar added that the platform reflects the work of STELCO’s IT team over time and is expected to make the company’s services more convenient for the public. He said the initiative will help take STELCO’s online services to the next level.
