Maldives Police Service has arrested a woman in connection with multiple fraud cases.

Police identified the suspect as Aishath Nazira, 41, from Hirilandhoo.

The Criminal Court ordered Nazira to be detained for 15 days after investigators said money obtained through fraud had been deposited into her bank account.

Police also said 14 cases have been filed against her for allegedly obtaining money through fraudulent means.
