In response to the surge in global oil prices following the conflict in the Middle East sparked by the joint actions of Israel and the United States against Iran, STO’s Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) has implemented significant price hikes at its fuel sheds.

Previously, STO retailed petrol at MVR 13.50 per liter and diesel at MVR 13.92 per liter.

According to a statement released by STO tonight, effective tomorrow, the price of petrol will rise to MVR 16.01 per liter, marking an increase of MVR 2.51.

Furthermore, from tomorrow onwards, STO will sell diesel at MVR 17.54 per liter, reflecting an increase of MVR 3.62.

The countries from which the Maldives typically imports its fuel have been significantly impacted by the ongoing conflict.
