The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to develop the harbor and boat beaching area in G.Dh. Faresmaathoda.

Minister Dr. Abdulla Muththalib signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure, while Managing Director Mohamed Jamsheed signed on behalf of MTCC.

The scope of work under this project includes:

  • Dredging an area of 465,726 cubic meters
  • Construction of a 300-meter quay wall
  • Installation of a 733-meter revetment
  • Installation of a 133-meter Geotube revetment
  • Construction of a 329-meter groin
  • Construction of a 1,462-meter breakwater
  • Development of a 9,206-square-meter pavement
  • Construction of a concrete bridge measuring 6 meters in length and 36 meters in width

This project was awarded to MTCC for MVR 209.43 million, with a completion period of 780 days.
