The President's Office has announced that government offices will be closed for the last ten days of Ramadan, starting from Monday, March 9th.
The decision to designate the period from the 20th of Ramadan until the end of the month as a public holiday annually was initially made by the President's Office on February 4, 2024, beginning with the Ramadan of 1445 AH.
According to the President's Office today, this arrangement aims to uphold Islamic principles, foster a love for religious practices among the citizens, and provide them with the opportunity to prioritize religious observances during this holy period.
The directive from the President's Office also instructs all government institutions to make necessary arrangements to ensure that essential services continue to be provided to the public during these holidays, according to the protocols established by each respective institution.
