President Dr Mohamed Muizzu campaigned for the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee elections on behalf of the ruling People's National Congress (PNC), taking part in a “Door to Door” event in Malé.

The campaign, which began at 1:15 p.m., saw the President visiting homes in North Galolhu and meeting residents to seek their support. He was joined by PNC’s mayoral candidate Moosa Ali Jaleel, candidates contesting Malé seats, Women’s Development Committee candidates, as well as government ministers, parliamentarians and company leaders.

In the upcoming local council elections, the PNC is contesting all seats across the Maldives, except in Maamigili.

The Elections Commission has announced that the elections will be held on April 4.
