President Dr Mohamed Muizzu took part in a door-to-door campaign ahead of the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee elections, representing the ruling People's National Congress (PNC).

PNC’s mayoral candidate Moosa Ali Jaleel, cabinet ministers, members of parliament, and company leaders also joined the campaign.

The event began at 1:15 p.m., with the President visiting homes in Heneveru West and meeting residents in the area.

PNC is contesting all seats across the Maldives in the local council elections, except in Maamigili.

The Elections Commission of Maldives has announced that the elections will be held on April 4.
