The Maldives Police Service has announced that vehicles illegally parked on Boduthakurufaanu Magu will be towed.

In a video shared on Facebook today, Chief Inspector Ibrahim Hilmy, Head of Traffic Police, stated that illegal parking along the ring road (Boduthakurufaanu Magu) is causing significant inconvenience to the public, especially during the month of Ramadan.

"Even now, we observe double parking from the MPL area to Maafannu Police Station. Since Boduthakurufaanu Magu has been converted to a two-way street, the area has become increasingly congested. Therefore, throughout Ramadan, we will be towing vehicles parked illegally on Boduthakurufaanu Magu. We will also be taking legal action against those who violate traffic regulations. We urge the public to refrain from illegal parking in these areas," Chief Inspector Hilmy remarked.

According to a police announcement made on the 19th of this month, the authorities, in collaboration with relevant agencies, will tow vehicles that are illegally parked, unregistered, or registered in zones other than Zone A but are being kept in Male'.
