A 60-year-old Maldivian man has died after being pinned under a pickup truck while working on it in Hulhumalé on Sunday morning.

Police said the incident was reported at around 11:05 a.m. near Hulhumalé Sahara. The man had been carrying out work on the vehicle when it crashed and trapped him underneath.

He was taken to Hulhumalé Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the incident further.
