Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has installed 32 dustbins near the 4,000 housing units in Hulhumale’ Phase II to improve waste management in the area.

According to FDC, the dustbins have been placed near the residential towers to collect waste from the buildings. The corporation urged residents to follow waste disposal guidelines to maintain cleanliness in the buildings and surrounding environment.

In a statement, FDC said it has received complaints about garbage being dumped in public areas, including on the ground floors of buildings. The corporation noted that such practices inconvenience residents and pose risks to public health.

FDC stressed that dumping waste in corridors, walkways, and outside towers is strictly prohibited. Household waste must be disposed of only in designated garbage rooms on the ground floor. The corporation also reminded residents that unit owners are responsible for properly disposing of boxes, bottles, and other items generated during move-ins.

FDC warned that action will be taken against violators, with fines to be imposed starting this month.
