RTL transport services are set to begin in Faafu Atoll and Dhaalu Atoll next week, with operations contracted to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

MTCC said services will operate on four routes across the two atolls, including one route in Faafu Atoll, two routes in Dhaalu Atoll, and two ferry routes linking Dhaalu and Faafu atolls. Travel between the two atolls will operate between Nilandhoo and Meedhoo.

Test runs will be carried out from Tuesday for one week, during which travel will be free of charge. According to the Transport Ministry, RTL services between the two atolls will officially begin on the 25th of this month.

RTL services have not yet resumed in Zone 4 and Zone 3. Zone 4 includes Meemu Atoll, Faafu Atoll, Dhaalu Atoll, and Laamu Atoll, while Zone 3 covers Kaafu Atoll, Alifu Alifu Atoll, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, and Vaavu Atoll.
