Greater Bay Airlines, based in Hong Kong, China, has launched charter flight services to the Maldives.
To commemorate the start of these charter operations, a water salute was accorded to the airline's inaugural flight, HB2500, upon its arrival in the Maldives today. The 174 passengers who arrived on this flight were given a warm welcome.
The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) stated that Greater Bay Airlines is scheduled to operate one daily flight directly from Hong Kong to Malé. MACL further specified that Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will be utilized for these services.
Greater Bay Airlines marks the second airline to establish direct flight connectivity between Hong Kong and Malé.
