The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced that all available slots for the free Quran classes, conducted in collaboration with Al-Asr Association, have been filled.

Applications for these classes, aimed at fostering a love for the Quran and familiarizing children with its teachings, were opened last Wednesday.

According to HDC, all slots reached full capacity within 24 hours. A total of 103 children, aged between 7 and 10 years, have enrolled in the program. Consequently, the application window is now closed.

These classes are part of an initiative to conduct Quranic studies and religious lectures in Hulhumalé, following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Al-Asr Association and HDC last September.

Under this one-year agreement, four Quran sessions will be held daily, five days a week, across various mosques in Hulhumalé. The sessions will be scheduled for mornings and afternoons, with separate classes for boys and girls. Al-Asr Association is responsible for appointing and training the Quran teachers for this program.
