Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) inaugurated the first batch of its Security Officer Training Programme, aimed at strengthening security operations and technical standards across airport facilities.

Held at Hulhule Island Hotel, the ceremony was attended by the Controller General of Immigration and Commissioner of Police (Retd) Ahmed Faseeh, along with senior MACL officials and departmental representatives.

According to MACL, the five-day training programme is being conducted by the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in collaboration with the Maldives Police Service. The first batch includes 28 officers from MACL’s Estate Security Department.

The programme combines theoretical and practical training, covering legal frameworks, professional and technical ethics, patrol techniques, evidence recognition, self-defence, and physical wellbeing. MACL stated that the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance professional capacity and maintain high security standards in airport operations.
