The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported that 25 individuals from three apartments have been provided with temporary shelter following a fire at a warehouse in Hulhumalé Phase 1.

The fire broke out late last night in a warehouse located on the ground floor of a six-story building (Lot No. 11154) in Chanbeylee Magu, Goalhi 5. Firefighters from the MNDF Male' Area Command, Hulhumalé Fire Station, successfully extinguished the flames.

The incident resulted in extensive damage to the goods stored within the warehouse.

According to the NDMA, the fire caused severe damage to the building's electrical panel, leading to a complete power outage throughout the premises.

Consequently, the authority has arranged temporary accommodation and catering services for 25 residents from three affected apartments in the building.
