The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has advised the public to be cautious of attempts to obtain personal information in the name of the corporation.

In a statement, HDC warned of scammers sending messages and making calls through Viber, SMS, and regular phone calls, urging the public not to share personal details or carry out any financial transactions with such individuals. The corporation stressed that it does not contact the public via Viber or phone calls for matters related to housing projects, social housing, or flats.

HDC said the warning was issued to protect the public, noting that the corporation’s name has been used in fraudulent money laundering scams in the past. The public has been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious communications claiming to be from HDC.
