A cargo vessel has capsized, and a search has been launched for two individuals who were on board.

In a message sent to the media today, the police stated that they received information at 7:27 AM regarding the capsizing of a cargo vessel named "Balma 6," which was traveling with four people on board near K. Vaadhoo.

Of the four individuals on the vessel, two were rescued by another boat traveling through the area; however, the remaining two have not been found so far. The police confirmed that those missing are a Maldivian and a foreign national.

The police further stated that they are currently active in the area where the vessel capsized to locate the missing persons.
