Police have announced that a group of Nepali nationals apprehended with alcohol bottles are to be deported and have been handed over to Immigration authorities.

The police stated today that the individuals arrested in Malé on suspicion of illegally possessing and consuming alcohol are Chaudhary Surendra (43), Sugandha Kumar Chaudhary (28), Chaudhary (24), Makar Bahadur Tamang (27), Bishwanath Chaudhary (37), and Ramri Maya Waiba (27).

All these individuals are Nepali nationals, and they have now been handed over to Immigration for deportation, according to the police.

The police further mentioned that all arrests were made last Sunday during an operation conducted based on information received by the Counter Narcotics Intelligence unit.

"Following their arrest, a café and a house in Maafannu, Malé, were searched. During the search, 21 bottles of what is suspected to be alcohol, each 500 ml, were discovered," the police reported.
