The Maldivian passport service has officially commenced in Hanimaadhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

Expanding the services for expedited issuance of ID cards and passports nationwide is a pledge made by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. Under this commitment, the initiative to extend these services across the Maldives was inaugurated on November 16th of last year.

Immigration announced today that individuals seeking to obtain passports from Haa Dhaalu Atoll can now select Kulhudhuffushi City, Haa Dhaalu Makunudhoo, and additionally Hanimaadhoo in that atoll as 'collection points'.

The establishment and completion of ID card and passport services in all atolls of the Maldives took place on October 7th of this year.

The inauguration of ID card and passport services across all atolls in the Maldives was commemorated during a ceremony held in Mahibadhoo on that day, as part of the President's visit to the islands of Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.
