Ibrahim Falah, the Parliamentary Group Leader of the People's National Congress (PNC) and PNC member for the Inguraidhoo constituency, has announced that the party's membership has now surpassed 70,000.
Speaking at a press conference held yesterday at the SeaTrack Building, Falah expressed his belief that the PNC's membership would further increase to over 75,000.
"With the inclusion of our primary process, our membership count has now exceeded 70,000. When we met with you on the 30th of last month, the membership stood at 69,000. However, we believe that a significant number of members have joined our party for this primary. We anticipate it will reach approximately 75,000," Falah stated.
Falah also attributed the continuous influx of new members to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who leads the nation, receiving the public's approval and affection, and to the government's efforts to shape the governance system according to the will of the people and act upon these principles.
