The Maldives has strongly condemned the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said such acts of violence are unacceptable in any society. The ministry expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, reaffirming that the Maldivian government and people stand with Australia during this difficult time.

The statement also noted that the Maldives will continue to work with the international community to combat all forms of terrorism.
