The Ministry of Tourism has announced that the Maldives has welcomed 2.1 million tourists to date this year.

The two millionth tourist of this year arrived in the Maldives on November 27th.

According to statistics released yesterday by the Ministry of Tourism, a total of 2,106,122 tourists visited the Maldives as of December 13th. The statistics indicate that 1,912,304 tourists arrived during the same period last year, marking a 10 percent increase this year.

Furthermore, the statistics highlight that the Maldives currently receives an average of 6,466 tourists daily.
