The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced that applications are now open to fill two vacant positions at the High Court.
The vacancies arose following the retirement of Judge Mohamed Niyaz last week and the resignation of Judge Mohamed Faisal in November.
The High Court has invited eligible candidates to submit their applications by the 21st of this month.
A High Court judge receives a basic monthly salary of MVR 45,700. In addition, judges are entitled to a living allowance of MVR 18,000 and a risk allowance of MVR 3,300 per month. Other benefits include medical insurance and a phone allowance, as determined by the People’s Majlis.
Applicants must be at least 25 years old and hold a first degree in Islamic Shariah. They are also required to have a minimum of five years of experience serving as a judge, an attorney-at-law, or a combination of both roles.
