HD Hyundai has signed as the title sponsor for the 10th edition of the Golden Futsal Challenge, the largest and most prestigious futsal tournament in the Maldives.

First launched in 2015, the Golden Futsal Challenge has grown to become the biggest sporting event in the Maldives. It has earned the trust of the public and transformed the sporting landscape across the nation, bringing about a revolutionary change in futsal.

This year's Charity Shield match is scheduled for the night of January 3rd. It will feature the 2024 champions B. Eydhafushi against this year's champions K. Kaashidhoo. Following this, the atolls' matches will commence on the night of January 4th.

During the special event held for the signing with Hyundai, Hussain Haleem, Chief Engineer of Quick Easy Maldives, the authorized dealer for Hyundai in the Maldives, signed the agreement on behalf of the company.

Ahmed Naseem, Event Manager, signed on behalf of the Golden Futsal Challenge.

Following the signing, Hyundai stated that they decided to become the title partner for the tournament because the Golden Futsal Challenge is the largest sporting event in the Maldives, with the highest participation and viewership. Hyundai also committed to providing greater support for the tournament's arrangements in the coming years than this time.

This year's Golden Futsal Challenge will again run for more than a month. The final match is scheduled for the night of February 14th next year. The matches will be held at the Rehendhi Futsal Ground.

One of the most special aspects of the Golden Futsal Challenge is its year-on-year improvement in quality. This is one of the reasons why islands trust the tournament and prepare thoroughly. The Golden Futsal Association is also making full preparations for this year's tournament.

This time, 119 teams will compete, and over 280 matches are expected to be played.

Efforts are also underway to enhance this year's tournament further by utilizing video support, in line with international futsal regulations.
