Maldives Police Service has launched a new Digital Data Technology app aimed at improving public access to information and enhancing communication with investigators.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Iskandhar Koshi 1, Inspector of Police Ahmed Saeed said the app will serve as a platform for several digital tools the police plan to introduce this year. He noted that the app will make it easier for the public to receive updates on cases and communicate directly with investigators.

Inspector Saeed added that the police website has now been upgraded into a main digital portal, with users required to log in through e-pass to access the portal and related apps. “We are showcasing five apps today, but around ten apps will be released during the event,” he said. He also highlighted the new cyber portal, which allows users to check for scam numbers and accounts.

Alongside the main app, the police introduced several new and updated digital platforms, including internal systems for administration, investigations and information sharing on development projects.

The police introduced several digital platforms, including an internal portal for case communication, an upgraded Police Intranet, a paperless administrative system, a cybersecurity learning platform, a cyber portal to verify scams, and a system to manage investigation expenses more efficiently.

The police encourage the public to download and use the new app to stay informed and access services more easily.
