Ooredoo Fintech Maldives has announced a limited-time offer allowing m-Faisaa users to send money to cyclone-affected countries – Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand – without any transfer fees. The company said the initiative aims to provide fast and secure financial support to families and communities impacted by severe weather in the region.
Using the m-Faisaa International Money Transfer service, operated in partnership with MoneyGram, customers can send funds abroad within hours. The service offers daily transfers of up to USD 10,000, fully digital processing without forms or queues, and real-time tracking through the m-Faisaa app. Users can load their m-Faisaa wallet, enter recipient details, and complete transfers digitally.
Ooredoo Fintech Maldives CEO Khalid Al Hamadi said the Maldives shares strong ties with neighbouring countries and that fee-free remittances will help those most in need. He added that the initiative supports Ooredoo’s mission to use digital financial services to strengthen communities and promote regional inclusivity.
