Sunny Umar, head of The Travel Guys Private Limited, a travel agency and media firm operating under the Halal Tourism brand, has been summoned by police over allegations of sexual abuse of a minor.

The police confirmed to One on Sunday that Umar is to appear at the Family and Child Protection (FCP) Unit for questioning, but no further details were provided.

In response to the allegations, Travel Guys announced that Umar’s stake in the company has been seized and he has been dismissed. The company stated that its financial, administrative, and strategic operations are managed by an international core team, and Umar is not involved in running Travel Media.

Travel Guys emphasised that the allegations are personal and serious, and the company condemns all forms of abuse and exploitation.
