President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the severe impacts of climate change are now visible in countries across Southeast Asia.

In some countries of Southeast Asia, severe weather and heavy rainfall have led to flooding incidents, resulting in fatalities.

In a post made on X today, the President stated that he extends condolences over the deaths that occurred in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand due to incidents caused by severe weather.

"What we are currently witnessing in the countries of Southeast Asia are the dangerous and rapid impacts of climate change," the President said.

He also extended his condolences to Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the deaths that occurred in a fire incident in a building in Hong Kong.
