The President’s Office has dismissed rumours suggesting that citizens are required to submit questions or opinions in advance before attending meetings with the President.

In a post on X, Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed described the allegations as “completely false”. She stated that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has always encouraged close engagement with the public and values hearing their views directly.

Heena said that participants at previous meetings have been given full freedom to express their concerns without any restrictions. She added that the same approach will continue for future gatherings, and no one is required to share questions or comments beforehand.

The President is scheduled to meet with residents of Malé City later this week.
