The third ongoing session of the People's Majlis (Parliament) is to be extended, with a vote on the matter scheduled for today.

Commencing today's session, Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla stated that according to parliamentary regulations, the sessions of the third term of the People's Majlis are to be held from the first day of October until the end of this November.

Currently, the third term sessions of the Parliament for this year are underway.

However, the Parliament Speaker stated that due to important work that needs to be completed by the Parliament, the session needs to be extended.

Therefore, the Parliament Speaker announced that a vote would be taken during today's session to extend the current third term of the Parliament until December 4th.

During the recently concluded third term sessions of the Parliament, important work has also been finalized by the Parliament.
