Maldives Immigration has apprehended 66 expatriates who were residing illegally in the Maldives.

In a post shared today on X, Immigration stated that after noting a significant number of expatriates involved in business activities, the Task Force conducted a successful operation last night covering Karankaa Magu, its connecting alleys, and surrounding areas.

During the operation, 347 expatriates were checked, resulting in the apprehension of 66 undocumented individuals who were taken into Immigration custody, according to the statement.

Immigration continues to conduct numerous such operations to locate illegal expatriates and address issues related to foreign workers in the country.
