Former Kaashidhoo constituency MP Abdullah Jabir has decided to join the ruling party, People's National Congress (PNC).
Jabir was most recently affiliated with the main opposition party, MDP.
Speaking to "One Online" today, Jabir stated that it has been many days since he left the MDP, and after a two-year break, he will be seen "strongly" active in the political arena again.
"All this time, I have been abroad focusing on business matters. However, I always closely monitor national affairs," Jabir said.
Jabir expressed that he strongly approves of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's policies and will continue to support and assist the government.
"I very much appreciate his efforts in managing debt and revitalizing an economy that was heading toward bankruptcy," Jabir stated.
Jabir further mentioned that he will be joining the PNC very soon, though he did not provide details about the arrangement.
He also confirmed that he will be participating in the major event being held by the PNC tomorrow night.
