The Employment Tribunal has ruled that the written threat issued to Ibrahim Mohamed, Assistant General Manager of the E-commerce Department at Maldives Post Limited, was invalid.

The case was filed after disciplinary action was taken against Ibrahim Mohamed for allegedly failing to cooperate with the company’s Human Resources department. He requested the Tribunal to declare that the warning was issued without following due process and was not in accordance with the Employment Act.

After reviewing the case, the Tribunal concluded that the warning did not meet the criteria for corrective action under the Employment Act and was therefore invalid.
