The services of Maldives Immigration have been officially digitalized and inaugurated today under the Maldives 2.0 initiative.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu officially inaugurated the digitalized immigration services at a ceremony held today at Barcelo Nasandhura Male. The ceremony was attended by Finance Minister Moosa Zameer, Foreign Minister Abdullah Khaleel, Home Minister Ali Ihsaan, Controller of Immigration Commissioner of Police (Retired) Ahmed Faseeh, and senior officials and staff of Immigration.

The President also officially inaugurated the newly introduced "e-Visa" by Immigration.

At the ceremony, Faseeh inaugurated the new mobile application of Immigration. All immigration services will be available through this application.

Ihsaan inaugurated the facial recognition application "M ID Checker" at the ceremony. This application was introduced as a solution to address the issue of illegal foreigners in the Maldives.
