Fathimath Inaya has been reappointed as the Foreign Secretary.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu first appointed Inaya as Foreign Secretary on December 12, 2023. However, she was removed from the position about five months later.

She has now been reappointed to the position recently.

The official X account of the Foreign Secretary now features Inaya's photo. She has already begun attending welcome ceremonies for delegations visiting the Maldives.

In this capacity, she attended the welcome ceremony for India's Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, who represented Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the opening ceremony of HDh. Hanimaadhoo International Airport. She also made a post on X welcoming the Indian Minister in her capacity as Foreign Secretary.

Inaya has previously served as State Minister and Deputy Minister at the Foreign Ministry.
