Maldivian passport services have been launched in Addu City Hithadhoo and Feydhoo as part of a project to expand passport services across different parts of the Maldives.

The passport services in these two islands were inaugurated during a meeting held last night at Addu High School in Hithadhoo between President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the residents of the connected islands of Addu City, as part of the President's visit to Addu City islands.

The passport services were officially launched by Local Government Minister Adam Shareef Umar and Controller General of Immigration Ahmed Faseeh.

Providing national ID card and passport services closer to citizens by expanding these services throughout the Maldives is a policy of President Dr. Muizzu.

In line with the President's pledge, the service for printing and issuing Maldivian national ID cards was established in all atolls of the Maldives by September 19 this year.
