The flooding-prone area on the road in front of the Maldives National University (MNU) has been repaired and completed.

Male' City Council said that as part of the ongoing efforts to find solutions to the long-standing flooding issues on Male' roads, the area in front of MNU on Rahdebai Hingun was repaired and completed yesterday.

The council said that this work will resolve the flooding issue in that area, providing relief and convenience to citizens who had been facing difficulties.

Flooding on Male' roads has been a problem causing numerous difficulties for residents over a long period.

Male' City Mayor Adam Azim said that the section of Rahdebai Hingun between Tabrezee Magu and Falhumathee Hingun (in front of MNU) is a very important road for university students, many school students, and parents.

Therefore, the Mayor noted that the completion of the road repairs will bring relief and convenience to many people. Azim further stated that citizens' complaints are related to the difficulties they face in living in Male'.

Mayor Azim always emphasizes that flooding on Male' roads due to uncleaned drains is a very sensitive issue.
