A call has been opened to find a party to design the expansion of the B. Dharavandhoo Airport terminal to increase space and enhance services.

In an announcement gazetted last night, Island Aviation Limited stated that they are seeking a party to provide design work and consultancy for the Dharavandhoo terminal, and interested parties are requested to submit an Expression of Interest by the end of next Monday.

Island Aviation said that the work includes enlarging the arrival hall, adding more check-in and arrival belts, creating additional café space in the departure hall, and increasing the number of departure gates.

Island Aviation stated that upon completion of these works, the terminal will gain an additional 814 square meters.

The airport service in B. Dharavandhoo has now been operating for 14 years.
